SOULDANCE ———————————————————abilities——————————————————— LEVITATE - can fly despite his typing INFILTRATOR - unaffected by intangible boundaries TELEPATHY - intuitively avoids attacks from allies —————————————————————moves—————————————————————— BOOMBURST - a deafening noise bursts from the user, damaging all nearby opponents HURRICANE - the user kicks up a powerful wind with his wings - has a chance to confuse the target AGILITY - in order to evade attacks, the user greatly increases their speed stat for a short time SYNCHRONOISE - the user emits a sound wave that only damages opponents of the same type ——————————————————alterations—————————————————— -CYBORG- His feet, wing claws, and left eye are all replaced with robotic parts, the former of which he finds more effective and the latter of which he's declared a necessary nuisance. He came to RPEPB with said eye missing, and this is the best replacement he can get, even if it is a bit more primitive than his right. The claws on his wings and feet are not quite as flexible as a natural appendage, but they're far sharper and allow for him to defend himself in a pinch, though they are by no means as powerful as an actual move and he's neglected to learn to use them more effectively. -TYPE CHANGE- A voluntary experiment regarding his typing. Souldance is no longer Flying/Dragon, but has dropped the Flying-type association and instead replaced it with Psychic. While most Noivern already have excellent intuitive abilities, partly due to how aware they are of their surroundings, Souldance's abilities are heightened to the point that he can utilize them as a weapon, which manifested itself in Synchronoise. In addition, his Telepathy ability is more sensitive and effective, and it's rumoured he has the ability to speak with it, although if he does he uses the skill sparingly. ——————————————————personality—————————————————— Souldance is a hyperactive creature who is constantly getting into things he shouldn't. While curious, he's a bit cautious and timid, and it's not hard to give him a good scare. However, a proud creature, he usually denies this fact and tries to act brave, even if his facade is not so hard to see through. He tends to be overprotective over those smaller than him even if they're stronger, and sticks by a general "pick on someone your own size" rule. Not that he picks on people intentionally, but he does tend to be a little mischievous at times, and this can cause some problems. He's spontaneous and reckless, which is what's led to both of his alterations. He doesn't regret either. His eye was mauled by a wild Sandslash which he provoked, and his feet and wings were simply voluntary because he was happy with the eye, and through a leap in judgement he decided that they might correct some of his earthbound clumsiness. If anything it only made him even more clumsy while on the ground, but he's grateful for the protection of steel and glad to have worked towards prosthetic research. His Psychic-typing was simply on a whim, but he finds it very useful and hasn't complained about it since the change. Souldance and his sister alike have been at RPEPB since when it first began researching rather than teaching, and he was one of the first to receive robotic parts. As such, he's seen the company take a turn for the worse and wants to stop it, although he really doesn't know how which leaves him confused and upset. However, not content to sit and watch the company - now his permanent home by choice - crumble around him, with the help of his sister's organization he started his own faction that works towards fixing the company. They haven't quite sorted out how, but for now they're just trying to build up a steady following. In addition, Souldance has a borderline obsession with technology, and any works of steel or flashing lights will usually hold his attention. He's always wanted to build his own robot someday, but he knows that's a little silly due to his lack of opposable thumbs. He was hoping that the replacement of his wing claws might fix that, but that didn't work out so well, did it? There's also, of course, the question of whether he's... ah... bright enough for the task. ———————————————————appearance—————————————————— While overall he appears identical to an ordinary Noivern, there are the obviously notable alterations of his robotic parts. His feet and claws are gone and replaced with steel replicas, with the feet even topped off with lumps of plastic to represent the red scales on the feet of most Noivern. The left half of his face, from around his brow to his jawline and extending to just before the end of his nose, is replaced with a metal plate that has a camera-like lens set into it. He is capable of swiveling his vision through said camera, but it doesn't provide as much range as an ordinary eye and so he tends to turn his entire head when looking at something. | RIGBY ———————————————————abilities——————————————————— FRISK - has an eye for others' items INFILTRATOR - unaffected by intangible boundaries TELEPATHY - intuitively avoids attacks from allies —————————————————————moves—————————————————————— BOOMBURST - a deafening noise bursts from the user, damaging all nearby opponents HURRICANE - the user kicks up a powerful wind with her wings - has a chance to confuse the target AGILITY - in order to evade attacks, the user greatly increases their speed stat for a short time MOONLIGHT - the user draws on the moon's energy to heal herself - twice as powerful at night ——————————————————alterations—————————————————— -AESTHETIC- While she had no real need to be experimented on, unlike her brother, Rigby volunteered to have an appearance change, and since then it's been getting a bit wilder as she grows older. The cause of these drastic changes were special chemicals controlling her appearance prior to evolution, although simple growth beforehand already had taken some effect. Her reasons for doing so are partly out of vanity, and partly so that her twin doesn't feel like a total freak. These changes have no practical use beyond sibling therapy, and instead force her to be very cautious in order to keep from getting hurt. See the appearance section for more. ——————————————————personality—————————————————— Rigby, as she prefers to be called, is a a little dark personality-wise. Cynical and pessimistic, she doesn't seem to see much good in the world, or at least prefers to emphasize the bad. She's been here as long as her brother - they are twins, and inseparable ones at that. Noivern are known to form strong bonds with family members, and these two are no exception. She tends to treat others kindly, but she treats them all the same; Souldance seems to be the only creature special to her. While she was here to see the gradual decline in the company's morals, her cynicism keeps her from acting out very much. In her opinion, the world will be the world, and fixing things here will only result in more cruelty elsewhere. Regardless, she's become the unofficial leader of the faction she and her brother started as she will do just about anything for him, and she was bored anyways. If there's one things she hates, it's boredom. A bit vain, Rigby is obsessed with her appearance, though if you insult it she won't take a blow to her pride. Independent and indifferent for the most part, her opinion is the only one that matters... besides Souldance's, of course. Telling her what to do will almost always result in conflict, and while she isn't particularly powerful she's extremely quick and has spent ages trying to perfect her movements, resulting in graceful aerial displays. However, due to her frailness and her manic fear of being scarred, she rarely results to violence and prefers to be passive-aggressive or insult the enemy from afar. She's also... a bit depressed. Who wouldn't be after looking at the world and seeing nothing but a society spiraling into malice? It's not enough to merit medical attention, but talking to her reveals her to be a rather gloomy figure who seems a bit uncaring about the world around her, though she does make an effort to be nice to those around her and will even go out of her way to help others so long as she doesn't have something else going on. Giving her a compliment or telling her to cheer up does nothing, unfortunately. Ironically, she almost never lacks motivation and is always willing to get things done whether she cares about them or not, although the job may not be as well done as someone actually passionate about the task at hand. Intelligent and very observant, Rigby likes to use knowledge to her advantage, thinking deeply before making a decision in direct contrast to her brother. This makes her an excellent strategist, and she uses it to her advantage whenever she can. Often she and her brother will work together, with Rigby as the brains and Souldance doing the "grunt work". ———————————————————appearance—————————————————— Wow, has she had some work done. Rigby's overall build is thinner and more fragile, and in order to keep her from being too skinny her torso has been lengthened a bit to make it more serpentine. Her tail and the "blades" at the end of it are lengthened, and her legs are a bit longer as well. Her wings are thinner than the ordinary Noivern, and the colouration of her body has been brightened to more pastel shades through the use of genetically engineered hormones, derived mainly from the mating plumage of bird Pokémon such as Unfezant. The ends of her wings, ears, and cheeks are long and whisker-like, although they are surprisingly durable and flexible. Her nose, rather than being anchored to the top of her snout, is more of a free-standing V shape. Her mane is long and smooth in contrast to the spiky ruff of most Noivern, although this is due to her obsession with personal hygiene as opposed to alterations. |
