Height;; 6' 0".
Weight;; 159 lbs.
Faceclaim;; Dino Cavallone (Katekyo Hitman Reborn)
At a first glance, he's something close to average. Not tall, not short, not lanky- not overly muscular, though he's incredibly fit for a professional researcher. His blonde hair is long and shaggy, less because he likes it that way and more because he forgets to get it cut. Usually his skin would be lightly tanned, though he's spent so much time inside recently that it's taken on an almost sickly pallor. He's too hands-on in his work to bother dressing up, as all of his nice clothes would be torn and ruined, so most often he's found around the labs in jeans and a t-shirt of some sort, pulled tight over broad shoulders. He doesn't look... bad, per say, but he's definitely rough around the edges for such a high-tech atmosphere. He's taken quite a bit of heat for it, too, and though most of it rolls right off, he has taken to wrapping bandages around his left arm at work- the entire limb is covered in tattoos, dubbed "unprofessional" by his superiors. Not that he lets that bother him, but on meeting days with the higher-ups, it's the least he can do.
The leaders of the organization tend to be surprisingly lenient with him, and those few in the loop within the Biotechnology Department seem almost afraid- even for the clueless, there's something downright eerie about his flashing golden eyes. They're a vivid yellow, almost unnaturally so, and ridiculously keen. Some go so far as to say he's all-seeing... Though he'll insist that's ridiculous, with his wide grin bearing teeth just the slightest bit too sharp.

When he can be bothered to actually pay attention to human beings, everyone is sure to know it. His voice itself tends to draw attention, low and rough and terribly, terribly loud. He is, in fact, the classical definition of a loudmouth- brash and cocky constantly riding the edge of just plain rude. There isn't a subtle bone in his body; it's quite easy to tell where you stand with him, if only because he has a habit of coming right out and telling you to your face. His constant backtalk and verbal jabs can come off as almost spiteful at times, though that certainly isn't the intent behind them. He's just a loud person, jolly and honest, with his booming belly-laugh and constant grin. He can even be described as soft, though not necessarily always in a good way- he isn't naive, per say, but too trusting and easily manipulated. He's well aware that the world can be a dark place and that people lie, but he never seems to see it coming, struck dumb every time someone commits even the slightest lie of omission. Even so, he's never been one to stay down for long, and though he's easily irritated, it's quite difficult to truly anger him. Forgive and forget: a simple outlook, but one that's served him well.
He does seem rather out of place in a research facility of such a high caliber, with his rough appearance and obnoxiously childlike persona, but appearances can be deceiving. He possesses a wickedly sharp intellect, just not one visible to the naked eye. He's easily distracted, you see, his attention flitting back and forth like a hyperactive Butterfree, and not always in ways that make sense to others. It can be hard to catch and hold his attention, and a bored Luca is not a pleasant one to be around, lazy and messy and just plain careless. Yet the constant wandering of his eyes and his mind can be a blessing in his line of work, helping him to pick up on details others might easily miss. Just be warned: once something has truly caught his attention, his focus is absolute. He's disorganized and a downright slob in his own life, but when it comes to his work he's borderline obsessive, a perfectionist to the core. In fact, what appears to be a mess to you is his preferred state of being- try to clean up his work station, and he just might lose it. It's a strong protective urge, almost territorial, but don't bother trying to argue how unreasonable it might be. Just for Arceus' sake stay out of his stuff.
It's just another one of the habits he's picked up on since coming to RPEPB. Funny, though the facility has been good for him in many ways, he's starting to take somewhat of a downward turn. Pride had never been a huge flaw of his before, but recently he's been decidedly touchy, prone to going off on people in sudden bouts of anger- completely and utterly un-Luca-like, for those who've known him long, though he'll dismiss the topic quickly- and awkwardly- whenever it's broached.

[ trivia ]
-He came from a rough background, living with a single mother before getting kicked to the streets at eighteen, and thus turned to Pokemon battling as his only chance at a career without expensive education. Some "friends" of his got him into- well, let's call it "working"- with cars, and he showed considerable skill as a mechanic. He was heartbroken with his companion died after a particularly rough fight, turning more and more to these less-than-legal activities, but he was saved by the RPEPB. It was a younger organization then, and though it had begun to delve into research and advancement, it still was a home for activists, and the people there took him in and helped get him straightened out.
-He worked with the Activism department for a while, but was fascinated by and soon latched on to a man in Robotics who worked with prosthetic limbs. With the man as his mentor, he was able to pick it up, and many years later he now serves both in Robotics and in the more practical applications of said inventions in the Battle Department
-He was approached just over two years ago by a relatively highly-ranked member of the Biotech Department, who offered a way to improve his capabilities and better serve the Pokemon he loved. They actually didn't tell him much, but once he showed the slightest bit of interest, they had him under the knife before he could so much as ask. He doesn't remember much of the procedure and understands even less; to this day he isn't really sure what happened, but even to those within his own company, he isn't going to go around broadcasting it.
-His previously hazel eyes are now a brilliant gold and are capable of far beyond what he knew was even possible. He vaguely remembers discussion of Luxray genetics, and with a bit of research on his part, it seemed to all fall into place. For now, he can pick out the tiniest little details, allowing him to fine-tune even the most delicate of machinery- not to mention his seeming ability to see through plates to whatever errors might be occurring within, but, well, he passes it off as just an acute intuition.
-Ever since his procedure, he seems to have undergone mood swings and changes in his personality, prone now to sudden anger the likes of which he'd never experienced before. It terrifies him, though he doesn't admit it even to himself.
